Basic facts practice!

Today for maths we had some fun with a Figure it Out activity.

Students were given a grid of numbers and had to challenge themselves by making as many equations as possible with the numbers they were given.

They had 3 minutes to sit and write them out.

It was a great maths session with lots of discussion - and having to prove you had written the right equation!

Speed skills

Today in class for a maths warm up we did multiplication speed skills.

This week in Room 8 we are following the idea that we are always doing our "B.E.S.T." - which stands for Better Every Single Time!

When we tried the maths speed skills, it meant that we were optimistic and ok with getting questions wrong or not understanding - as long as we kept on trying to improve!

Room 8's Marvellous Mathematicians

In Room 8 this week we have been learning all about Decimals.
We have been practicing our skills with some online games to test our decimal place value knowledge!
